Exporting a Mix for a Mastering Engineer in Pro Tools:
- Open your project in Pro Tools.
- Set the project sample rate to 48 kHz (preferred) or 44.1 kHz (minimum):
- Go to the “Setup” menu and select “Session…”.
- In the “Session Setup” window, change the sample rate to either 48000 or 44100.
- Disable dithering:
- In the export dialog box, under “Dithering,” select “None.”
- Configure the export settings:
- Go to the “File” menu and select “Export” > “Audio Mixdown.”
- Choose a location to save the exported file.
- Select “WAV” as the file format.
- Set the bit depth to 32-bit float (preferred) or 16-bit (minimum).
- Choose “Stereo” for the channel configuration.
- Make sure the sample rate matches your project settings (48 kHz or 44.1 kHz).
- Click “Export” to export your mix in the specified format.
